Register as an individual or a team on our Eventbrite page.
Unable to participate? We invite you to support the Read-A-Thon by donating or helping to spread the word!
We are incredibly grateful to our community for donating to this year’s prize list!

Participants pledge to read an ambitious number of books for the 3 weeks of the Friends Of WOTS Read-A-Thon. From November 13th to 30th, you will read as many books as you can! All the while raising funds from supporters to encourage you to continue your reading challenge.
Both of these will be on your CanadaHelps Friends Of WOTS participant profile.
Your team captain just needs to register on Eventbrite. They will then receive a link to the CanadaHelps page where your team profile can be set up! Team captains will receive communication and updates from us throughout.
Your donations will support The Word On the Street. As we move into our 35th anniversary, your support will go towards the operational and accessibility costs for our festival!
Yes, those who donate will receive a tax receipt. The Word On The Street is a registered charity, and donations are processed through CanadaHelps.
While we encourage everyone to participate out of pure altruism or love of reading, there will be prizes for this year’s top readers and fundraisers! Check out the list above for details.
