    Elizabeth MacLeod

    Elizabeth MacLeod is a nosy children’s non-fiction writer who loves researching and discovering amazing facts, then sharing the information and secrets she uncovers with readers. Dinosaurs, royal murder, horses that changed history, forensic science — Liz has written about them all. She’s authored more than 80 books for kids and was named to the Order of Canada in 2025. Liz has won many awards for her writing, including the Sharon Fitzhenry Award for Canadian Children’s Non-Fiction and Children’s Choice awards across Canada. Some of her most recent books include Choose Happy, Be Kind and Meet Frederick Banting. Liz lives in Toronto.
