Sonya Singh is an award-winning journalist and national bestselling author. She is the author of the bestselling novels Sari, Not Sari and The Fake Matchmaker, which explore identity, culture and belonging through contemporary South Asian fiction.In 2026, Sonya received the National Magazine Award for Best DEI Reporting in recognition of her journalism covering diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.In addition to her writing, Sonya teaches post-secondary communications and marketing courses and is a frequent speaker on storytelling, media, diversity and publishing.
